Rakuten Viber joins the EU Code of Conduct against illegal hate speech online

Viber is an instant messaging app with 1 Billion users worldwide. Rakuten Viber is part of Rakuten Inc., a world leader in e-commerce and financial services.
In 2021 the company faced a necessity to join the EU Code
of Conduct on countering illegal hate speech online. Liliana Pertenava, the founder of Axxilion, was working as an in-house Global PR Director at Viber at the time and was responsible for the successful implementation of the project and its coverage in the media.
